After the success of the Earl Grey cupcakes I decided to try some other tea cupcakes. These are chai cupcakes with chai buttercream.
To make them, just use the original recipe but substitute the milk with strong chai. I made a large batch of chai and added a lot of sugar to make a light syrup, I used it to flavour both the cupcake and the frosting. They are finished with a light dusting of cinnamon to emphasize the spiciness of the chai.
